Worthington Planning Board Delays Solar Hearing to June 18
WORTHINGTON — May 28, 2026 — Worthington Planning Board continues Blue Wave solar hearing to June 18 after weeks of technical back-and-forth. The board voted unanimously at its May 28 session to push the public hearing to June 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the school, with the continuance date agreed upon jointly with the applicant following a flurry of email exchanges. Board member Kathy Ford made the motion; Nestor seconded. A Blue Wave representative told the board that new materials submitted since the last meeting include a third-party noise analysis, a draft hazard mitigation analysis, a draft emergency response plan, a glare analysis, and updated decommissioning estimates. The applicant said it hopes the June 18 session will allow the board to close the public hearing and begin deliberating on project conditions.
